“Our Hearts Burning Within Us” (Lk 24:32)

Dear Friends,

Welcome to my blog, “Our hearst burning within us.” What a privilege the two people on the way to the town of Emmaus had to learn from Jesus! They did not recognize him at first and invited him to have supper with them. The Gospel of Luke reports that after Jesus had joined them at the table, “he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them” (Luke 24:30 – 32). Suddenly they recognized Jesus and exclaimed: “Were not our hearts burning with us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

Have you experienced this “burning” of the heart? I  remember so well when I first experienced this as a teenager at a camp meeting. When Jesus opens the Scriptures our hearts are touched by the Holy Spirit. John Wesley (1703-1791) reported that his heart “was strangely warmed” after hearing a sermon based on Luther’s commentary on Romans.

I am so grateful to announce that my new book, Empowered! Kindle the Power of God in Your Life has just been released. Please come and participate as we discuss the wonder that we as human beings can experience the power of God!

I look forward to your participation!
